The experience I had at the lobby bar and restaurant was the worst I’ve ever had in my 38 years of travel what a joke. sorry to curse, but I was that disappointed and upset. My food sat in back so long and the bartender did not go and get it, it had developed a skin on the aïoli. I saw somebody from the back bring a steak out and she says bring it into back and I’ll get it myself. She waited an additional half hour to go get it. The guy said that it was a little tough. Well yeah, because it was supposed to be out 45 minutes ago. It just sat under the heat lamp this entire time. Skip This place and stay out in Parsippany because EWR Doubletree sucks. They better not take away my lifetime titanium for this review.

Shakira from the bistro was amazing! She went the extra mile to make sure we felt comfortable. Greeted us with exceptional service and made us feel at home. She deserves more stars than I can give her. The wine was delightful. Amazing woman.!

Frustrating and over-priced

I haven’t written a review in a long time & I try not to be a whiner but this was frustrating enough that here I am at 2:25am, wishing I had chosen any place but here, having been woken up by two men speaking loudly in the room next to us and music and loud voices in the lobby area below. Called the reception to ask if there was music playing from there and they asked me if they should turn it down a bit!? 20 minutes later had to call again only to hear that they didn’t know how to turn it down in the bar area,. our bedroom has a closed balcony that directly faces into the bar, which is closed for the night! Why loud music is playing at all at this time of night is beyond me. After repeated requests it’s a little better but still detectable coming up into our room from that lower level. Secondly The in-house restaurant was so over priced and had no children’s options at all; No fridge, microwave or guest directory in the room so despite having come with food from home we can’t heat it up or even have a list of resources to choose a place to order from. So having no other options for two weary kiddos to get a hot meal, I paid 22$ for a burnt-topped, soggy crusted cheese pizza for my 7yr old, & ordered a $27 chicken Caesar salad for my 13yo, specifying that he had to be strictly gluten free- only to have It come covered in croutons; wait staff seemed overworked so we just handled it ourselves. Small generic bottles of water were 5$. No place to fill your own water bottles in the hotel. The hallway on our wing smells rank and moldy. The room is okay but again, no microwave or mini fridge which is rather basic these days; & rather than having a window to the outside, it has an inaccessible balcony overlooking into the bar and lobby area. It feels creepy and unnatural and if I knew the issue we’d have with the music & noise coming from there I’d have asked to switch to a room looking to the outdoors. We paid approx 200$ to stay near the airport for a flight tomorrow & 100$ for an adult and two kids to have a very unsatisfying meal. I could cry at the $ spent and the very disappointing experience. We did the best we could but it has all added up to a very frustrating overnight. I will say the check in staff was kind enough and they did provide warm cookies upon arrival, including allergy friendly ones which was very appreciated. Also to be fair, at the second request to take care of the music it is a bit better, but it’s not the silence you’d hope for at now 3:30am.

The room was very nice, bed was comfortable, and staff were helpful. The design of the building is AWFUL. My room had a sliding glass door overlooking the main part of the hotel. This means hearing loud voices from the pool and bar areas until 1-2 am, so bring ear plugs. There was a big common area on the floor where I stayed with a large group having breakfast and taking up all of the walking space, making it difficult to get to the elevators. Because this group was so large, I woke up to them as the buffet area was right outside my door. I prefer taking the stairs, but they are difficult to find if you are above the third floor. I would not recommend staying here.

iv been in a dispute battle with this location since dec 2023 and im here to warn others if you are looking to travel and need lodging please look elsware this location is unprofessional and uses scummy booking practices and will make canceling you and you're families reservation a living nightmare by giving you the run around over the phone and emails until the cancelation date has past so they can hide behind their "no show" policy which isnt stated or easliy found on the third party booking website(expedia.com/ Hotels.com) that their rooms are posted on
